Ghostboyrj Unveils "Fade Away / Ceremony," the First Look at His Album State of Being

Double-track single featuring Joey Rose and Sport Mathews arrives with visuals for both songs ahead of the album's January release

TORONTO, ON, [10/23/2026]: Toronto artist Ghostboyrj has shared "Fade Away / Ceremony," a two-track single and the first release from his upcoming album State of Being, arriving this January via GHO$TOWN RECORD$. Each song is paired with a visual, giving listeners an early glimpse of the world the project is building.

"Fade Away," featuring Joey Rose and Sport Mathews and produced by Pudgegawd, is a bar-for-bar showcase for all three voices. B-Side Radio picked up the record on release, spotlighting the trio's lyrical back-and-forth over Pudgegawd's production. Both tracks lean darker in tone, offering a taste of the album without giving everything away. A second single follows in November, with State of Being landing in full in January.

State of Being follows Ghostboyrj's previous project, State of Mind, which focused on internal thought and introspection. This time, those ideas turn outward. The title describes both the subject of the record and its structure: each song captures a different emotional, social or psychological state, moving between introspection and celebration, isolation and community, pressure and freedom, and ambition and contentment. Track titles such as "Free Me," "Sense of Self," "Speak Life," "Stress Free," "Stargazing," "Ceremony" and "Fade Away" reflect an album concerned with how an individual understands themselves while navigating the world around them. The album also features collaborations with Forest N/A, BKRSCLB's Gritfall and Thelonious, among others.
