ABOUT THE SINGLE

Diamonds by Saint is a slow-burning, atmospheric track that explores pressure, transformation, and emotional resilience. Layered with moody textures and a haunting vocal performance, the song builds from introspection into quiet strength. It’s both intimate and expansive, capturing the feeling of becoming who you are under weight and expectation while maintaining a calming balance through witty wordplay and humorous lines.

 Track Meaning (from the artist)

The song came to life after I received the instrumental by one of my producer friends Lyeth. Anytime I’ve worked with him I usually end up writing something introspective similar to my album Clandestino which was mostly his production.  I knew the song was going to be deeply personal  the moment I began writing. Making the theme “diamonds” came from wanting to reflect on what and who I consider extremely valuable in my life; close relatives, my partner as well as pivotal moments in my current life such as performing and making more music.

This song serves as a catharsis, proving to myself what I’ve overcome by purifying and expelling any negative energy and sentiments disabling me from taking the next steps. In that same regard this is also the first song I’ve shot a music video for, which further adds another layer of vulnerability to officially display my face along side my music in such an intimate and direct way. Despite the deep rooted meaning in this song, I’d like to believe it can also be a track someone plays in the background to chill and calm their mind, whereas other people might want to listen to it for motivation  and contemplation.

Saint (Saintiago) is a Toronto-based artist crafting atmospheric, introspective hip-hop rooted in storytelling and personal expression. Since his 2020 debut “Make You,” followed by releases like “10,000 Hours” and his album Clandestino, he has developed a sound that balances emotional depth with immersive, cinematic production.

His latest single “Diamonds” reflects on pressure, transformation, and self-worth—turning vulnerability into quiet strength through moody textures and reflective lyricism.
